Tracy and Kimberly shared some emails back and forth about a user who was having a lot of trouble recording sound from their web camera.

Rather then spend the money on a new web cam, Tracy suggested they purchase a Samsung E10 camcorder, it retails around $70-75

Tell your friend that he can safely download driver updates as long as

he downloads them from the manufacturers web site (HP, Logitech, etc.)

Suggesting a newer webcam can be a shortcut to having current hardware

 

and software drivers all at once. Could save lots of time and

troubleshooting.

 I would recommend a pocket vid camera over a web cam. The Samsung E10 is

a perfect Beckinfield camera; cheap ($73), super easy to use and you can

see yourself recording.
